What’s Your Story?

What’s Your Story?
Are you living your story over and over again in your mind? Wondering how to get off the merry-go-round? Or maybe you’ve realized that there was a lesson in a certain situation. Have you used that experience to move forward into a more abundant life? A more peaceful live? A more productive life? This week’s Transformational Tuesdays conversation (the first part of a two part series) focused on “your story” and how you can change it if you don’t like it; how you can use the lessons to move forward and step into your most authentically empowered life.

At one point in my life, when I had completely lost sight of who I am, I looked in the mirror and asked myself ..”Who are you and why are you here?”

I challenged the viewers/listeners to write out their story asking themselves those questions and a few other questions to facilitate the process…

Writing out your story will get it out of your body and onto the paper so you can see who you truly are. Here is my personal definition of a story:What's Your Story_So … What’s your story? Will you take the Challenge?
Here are the questions to help you along in the process (these are written in first person for you to ponder, reflect and write about.)

  • Who am I?
  • Why am I here?
  • What gifts and talents do I have?
  • How am I supposed to use those gifts and talents?
  • What’s still left to be done?
  • What can I do differently?
  • What have I done (or what am I doing) that really works well?

Whatever the answers to the questions are .. let them flow, embrace whatever emotions and tears that may show up, whatever anger. There is a lesson/learning in the process of writing out your story. Include any and all thoughts and feeling that show up. I encourage you to look at these questions from the perspective of all areas of your life. Physical, Emotional, Relational, Spiritual and Financial. This exercise is for you.. no one else.

Then, find something to be grateful for in the process. When you find something to be grateful for in every situation, your life will be incredibly more abundant. In writing an article for a magazine, I was given the topic of “Upgrade”. one of my favorite topics is Gratitude. The last thing I did before I went to sleep was ask that something come to mind that would be a great addition to the magazine. This is what I woke up with to write the article around:

Gratitude FINAL 1

I believe these little bits are gifts from God for me to share with this community and will help us along our  own transformational trails.
